Sport & Business Management Program
Academic Centre – Secondary Level (Grades 10–12)
Program Overview
The Sport & Business Management Program at Nasser Centre for Science and Technology (NCST) is a unique secondary-level academic program that combines sports professionalism with business and management education.
The program is designed to develop students who are athletically disciplined, academically strong, and professionally prepared, enabling them to succeed in careers related to sports management, business administration, coaching, and leadership, while also remaining eligible for university progression.
Students graduate with a Ministry of Education Secondary Certificate, alongside internationally recognized Pearson qualifications in Business and Sports, and additional professional sports certifications.
Program Aim
The Sport & Business Management Program aims to prepare students to:
- Combine athletic excellence with business and leadership skills
- Understand the commercial, managerial, and organizational aspects of sports
- Progress to university studies in Sports Management, Business, or related fields
- Represent NCST and Bahrain with professionalism in sports and academic arenas
Program Objectives
By the end of the program, students will be able to:
- Understand the structure and operations of sports and business organizations
- Apply business principles such as marketing, finance, and management in sports contexts
- Demonstrate professional behavior, discipline, and teamwork
- Communicate effectively in academic, business, and sporting environments
- Balance athletic performance with academic and career development
Program Structure (3-Year Academic Journey)
Grade 10 – Foundation Year
Students develop academic and athletic foundations through:
- Core academic subjects (English, Mathematics, Arabic, Islamic Studies)
- Introduction to business concepts
- Physical education and sports fundamentals
- Personal development, discipline, and teamwork
- Digital literacy and communication skills
Focus: Foundation skills, discipline, and exploration
Grade 11 – Specialization Year
Students begin focused specialization, including:
- Business operations and management
- Sports organization structures
- Marketing and event management in sports
- Applied training in chosen sports discipline
- Leadership, communication, and teamwork development
Focus: Applied learning and professional behavior
Grade 12 – Professional Readiness Year
Students advance toward professional and academic readiness through:
- Advanced business administration topics
- Sports management and administration
- Capstone project (sports or business-focused)
- Participation in clubs, competitions, and tournaments
- Career guidance and university preparation
Focus: Leadership, performance, and future pathways
Program Learning Outcomes

Certifications & Qualifications
Graduates of the Sport & Business Management Program will earn:
- General Secondary School Certificate
(Accredited by the Ministry of Education – Kingdom of Bahrain) - Pearson BTEC Level 2 International Diploma in Business Administration
- Professional Sports Certifications (Based on partnerships and program delivery)
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (English language proficiency)
